The Quality Assurance and Consumer Relations Analyst will promote and champion the company wide quality vision. The Quality Assurance and Consumer Relations Analyst will ensure the Suppliers Quality Expectations are adhered to and Customer/Consumer satisfaction is maintained. This position requires detail orientation, the ability to balance multiple priorities and a sense of urgency for problem solving, trending, and continuous improvement. A successful person in this role will have a strong people orientation, an impactful leadership presence, interpersonal & computer skills to achieve results through influence, and detail orientated. All of these attributes must be used to develop a proactive approach to product quality and food safety, while maintaining a fast paced, and continuous flow.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• oversee the “Supplier Quality Expectation” and all aspects of the Consumer/Customer Satisfaction Programs
• performing supplier audits and maintaining the Supplier Quality Performance Management System
• identifying trends that compromise the quality of the raw ingredients and finish products
• conducting or participating in reviews and audits of the selected deliverables and work products and processes
• tracking quality control warnings, non-conformities and verifying resolution
• distributing quality control findings to all local, state, and federal relevant stakeholders
• analyzing, packaging and delivering monthly company complaint performance
• identifying consumer issues in an efficient manner by responding directly to consumers and communicating information appropriately to the Consumer Manager to ensure issues are addressed in a timely and efficient manner
• monitoring and calling back all Answering Service calls, entering them accurately in CRM

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Technology, Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry or other natural science
• 3 years of Quality or Supplier Quality experience
• Proficient in MS Office applications (i.e. Microsoft, Excel, Access Visio etc.).
• Proficient in data trend analysis and reporting.
• Proven knowledge database systems.
• Formal training in analytical laboratory equipment, sanitation/food safety/regulatory.
• Proven knowledge of analytical thought process and quality systems.
• Working knowledge of FDA regulations, GMPs, HACCP, Food Allergens, Pest Control, and the Principles of Food Safety.

• Able to manage multiple projects and multiple priorities.
• Must be results driven, self-motivated, and able to work independently.
