A day in the life…

As a Sanitation Employee, you will engage in continuous learning, tackle new challenges, and maintain a strong attention to detail. Your responsibilities will include breaking down and sanitizing machinery, ensuring that all allergens are thoroughly cleaned from designated areas, and performing general sanitation of plant equipment. The ideal candidate for this position possesses a passion for cleanliness and enjoys being active while working. Your dedication is essential in upholding our commitment to a safe and sanitary environment. The typical for this role is Tuesday through Friday, 7:00pm to 5:30am. 

What you will be doing…

  • Disassembles and/or cleans and sanitizes equipment per RSC guidelines to ensure FDA standards are maintained in the plant.
  • Requests, receives, delivers, secures, and maintains products and materials required to do the job.
  • Operates and maintains machinery, equipment, and tools in a safe and proficient manner according to guidelines, standards, and instructions.
  • Must be able to read and understand sanitation specifications established by RSC and follow those specifications with supervision.
  • Performs other clean-up activities assigned by the supervisor.
  • Conforms to rules.
  • Reassembles plant machinery to prepare for each day’s production.
  • Ensures plant floor is 5S compliant before each production day.
  • Adheres to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) guidelines to ensure product quality and uphold food safety standards.
  • Learns to identify and address potential food safety hazards, process deviations, or non-conformities, while maintaining proactive communication with supervisors.
  • Documents food safety and quality procedures, maintaining detailed records of monitoring, verification, and corrective actions.

Do you have what it takes? 

(Basic Qualifications)

  • 18 years of age or older.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience in an industrial cleaning environment
  • Ability to routinely and frequently stand, stoop, bend and lift overhead.
  • Ability to stand on hard surfaces.

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Two or more years in a manufacturing facility
  • A passion for cleaning
