A day in the life…

As the Project Manager, you will lead multiple cross-functional teams in the delivery of Capital, Operational, and/or IT projects. Responsible for all aspects of project management and delivery. Provides oversight and leadership to ensure that projects/programs are completed on time, within budget, and in scope and that the project objectives and ROI are met. Your work is performed under the general direction of the Sr. Director, Business Transformation, and is reviewed upon completion for adequacy in meeting objectives and to ensure compliance with processes, standards, and policies of the organization. In this position, you will provide guidance to functional areas in the development and execution of projects and/or programs to manage/reduce risk and deliver projected business outcomes.

What you will be doing…

  • Demonstrate competency in strategic thinking and leadership with strong abilities in relationship management
  • Demonstrate leadership of multidiscipline, high-performance work teams/groups
  • Successfully develop and implement new work processes or process improvements
  • Gain experience working with customers to develop solutions to complex business problems
  • Establish work plan and staffing for project/program activities, iterations, or phases, and arrange for recruitment or assignment of project personnel
  • Direct and coordinate activities of project/program personnel to ensure the project progresses on schedule and within budget
  • Identify and schedule project deliverables, milestones, and required activities and tasks
  • Provide leadership and motivation to project/program team members throughout the project/program life cycle and confer with project staff to outline the work plan
  • Work independently on large-scale and complex projects/programs
  • Display experience applying practical solutions and proven methods to deliver projects/programs on time on budget and in alignment with defined business goals
  • Manage programs across multiple work streams in business and technology initiatives
  • Assess projects and/or programs with recommendations for recovery and course correction
  • Perform and implement project and program governance, processes, and procedures
  • Manage risk associated with project/program execution and broader enterprise interdependency
  • Ensure detailed project/program plans are created and used to manage milestones, resources, and dependencies
  • Responsible for comprehensive project/program timelines including sign-off from all work streams
  • Provide frequent and effective communication to the project/program team and sponsors
  • Work with the project/program team to identify and resolve issues in a timely manner
  • Anticipate risks and work with the team to create mitigation plans
  • Escalate significant /blocking issues and risks to leadership
  • Manage the project/program financials, actuals, and forecast
  • Work with project/program team and sponsors to remove barriers to success
  • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, as well as a detailed review of financial results with the leadership
  • Provide ad-hoc reporting and analytics as requested by the leadership

Do you have what it takes?
(Basic Qualifications)

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Computer Science or related field, or equivalent related project/program Management experience
  • MBA in or other master's degree preferred
  • PMP and certification are desirable, but not required
  • Seven or more years of progressively responsible project/program management experience
  • Five years of successfully managing complex and risky projects
  • Demonstrates experience in leading diverse teams
