Founded in 1923, Russell Stover Candies is the largest producer of fine boxed chocolates in the United States.  It began in Denver, Colorado as a candy business in the home of Russell and Clara Stover.  The original candy, marketed as “Mrs. Stover’s Bungalow Candies”, changed 20 years later to Russell Stover Candies.  The three principles of quality, service and value allow Russell Stover to remain “Only the Finest”.

Electrical/Electronic Tech Position Available

Job Description

• Keeping scheduled production machinery operating efficiently with minimal down time.
• Must have multi-disciplined skills including electrical, troubleshooting and repair.
• Performs electrical maintenance for entire plant.
• Perform preventative maintenance.
• Must be able to install new electrical equipment.  Must be able to size wiring, circuits, and breakers and complete all aspects of installation in accordance with Nat’l Electric Code (NEC).
• Must have working knowledge of NEC and must make all repairs and installations comply with NEC.
• Must be able to read and understand electrical schematics in blueprint form including ladder logic diagrams.
• Must have basic understanding of Programmable Logic Controllers and Variable Frequency Drives.
• Request, receives, secures and maintains supplies and materials required for job.
• Operates and maintains machinery, equipment, and tools in a safe and proficient manner according to standards, guidelines, and instructions.
• Accounts for all labor, parts and operational supplies in an accurate and timely fashion.
• Wears personal protective equipment as required and provided by the company; wears appropriate uniform/clothing in accordance with GMP’s/company standards.
• Ensures safe and proper use of tools and equipment; ensures hand tools are free of defects; maintains neat and orderly work area, including proper storage/disposal of lubricants, solvents, paint and other chemicals in accordance with OSHA, EPA and other regulatory agencies and company policy.
• Requires heavy lifting at times.
• Conforms to rules.
• Involves mandatory overtime, weekend work, and ability to be “on call” or called back to work.
• Responsibility to clean up after any work performed.
• May be assigned other duties by plant management as required.

Basic and Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in electrical/electronic troubleshooting, machine setup, and mechanical aptitude.
• Previous experience in manufacturing or commercial environments
• Understanding of relevant OSHA and HAZCOM regulations.
• Previous Manufacturing or Production experience.
