A day in the life…
As the PSM Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing and developing scheduled work activities supporting the PSM/RMP programs, while maintaining all required documentation in compliance with RSC and governing body standards, including all 14 elements of the PSM/RMP program. You will create and supervise efficient work plans for Preventive, Predictive, Condition-Based, and Project/Backlog Maintenance, ensuring parts availability with the Technical Team and securing both internal and external labor resources. You supervise the execution of these plans in alignment with the production schedule by working closely with the Production Scheduler to ensure timely completion. Accessing, interpreting, and making decisions based on data within the CMMS system will be essential to your success. Additionally, you will supervise a team of skilled specialists.
What you will be doing…
- Planning all Predictive, Preventive, and Condition Based Maintenance for the PSM/ RMP programs to effectively and efficiently execute activities in a coordinated way.
- Prioritizing and escalating critical works as necessary.
- Manage the PSM/RMP program including:
- Maintaining all Process Safety Information.
- Updating and auditing of Standard Operating Procedures as required.
- Leading the team in all required training.
- Managing all PSM related contractor documentation including required training, assessment, and review of contractor performance.
- Completing Management of Change and Pre-Startup Safety Reviews.
- Leading and documenting all Incident Investigations.
- Ensuring compliance of the Emergency Action/Response Plan.
- Ensuring the Process Hazard Analysis is kept current and is reviewed as required.
- Ensuring all 3rd party audits are completed on time and all audit recommendations are tracked and completed – including Program Compliance and Mechanical Integrity Audits.
- Tracking all investigation, audit, and team recommendations and leading efforts to complete recommendations.
- Leading the PSM Team meetings.
- Managing CMMS Data by ensuring that appropriate information is included such as BOM's, PM's, etc. are entered into the CMMS system when a modification, improvement, or addition is made to manufacturing, utilities, and/or other support area equipment.
- Monitoring work order backlog; schedule backlog work in a timely manner to maintain a reasonable level.
- Monitoring/Auditing Mechanic data entry and quality.
- Driving continuous improvement projects.
Do you have what it takes?
(Basic Qualifications)
- 5 years' experience in a manufacturing, maintenance, or engineering environment.
- Experience in a leadership role.
- Ability to comply with RSC respiratory program.
- Working knowledge and experience in electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, HVAC, boiler, and compressed air systems.
- Ability to comprehend technical manuals, instructions, and safety regulations.
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
- Ability to attend training offsite for up to a week at a time.
Do you stand above the rest?
(Preferred Qualifications)
- Universal Refrigerant License and HVAC certifications.
- Experience with ammonia refrigeration
- BA/BS or equivalent experience.
- Food Industry experience.
- High Level knowledge of PSM /RMP/MOC processes.
- High level knowledge of Ammonia Refrigerated systems.
- High level of computer expertise and competence.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Strong understanding of mechanical processes, equipment and electrical systems.
- Familiar with maintenance improvement methodologies.
- Ability to integrate into all parts of the operation to support the facility in achieving goals and objectives.
- Proactive individual that takes responsibility for their equipment, line, coworkers and the continuous improvement of the operation.
- Exposure to TPM, maintenance planning techniques, and maintenance execution.
