A day in the life…

As the Director of Supply Chain, you will lead Demand and Supply Planning, S&OP, and will be responsible for orchestrating the development and implementation of strategies that will improve forecasting and reduce non-working inventories while delivering superior customer service levels. You will drive results through strong collaboration with cross-functional leadership within sales, operations, procurement, customer supply chain, and warehousing and distribution. As this leader, you must be a proactive, action-oriented business leader with the ability to solve complex problems and drive change within the organization. In this position you will travel approximately 20% domestically and supervise approximately 5 FTE’s, with a total span of about 25.  

With oversight of centralized supply & demand planning, you will lead the monthly Rough Cut Capacity planning analytics, facilitate the cross-functional Partnership and Excess Inventory “Early Warning” team processes, and support the SPOII (Supply Plan Optimization Inventory Initiatives). In addition, you will provide leadership in the evolution of Lindt Intercompany guidelines and commercial timeline synchronization.

You will be responsible for planning production of 50+million pounds across 1,000+ FG SKU’s. You will have a direct effect on synchronizing supply & demand which impacts a $300MM+ Manufacturing & Logistics Budgets, 3 Russell Stover U.S. production plants, plus Purchased items, and $70+MM of finished goods inventory.

 

What you will be doing…

  • Develops and executes the Planning functional plan, addressing process, technology, and organization structure.
  • Facilitates monthly cross-functional Partnership meeting and Plan-of-Record.
  • Partners with Sales & Finance to proactively manage Excess FG Inventory Risk via the “Early Warning Team” process.
  • Supports SPOII Initiatives (Supply Plan Optimization Inventory Initiative)
  • Manages AMG (Account Management Guidance) communications with Sales team to ensure alignment of Seasonal / New product inputs to drive materials and production.
  • Champions the evolution of optimal commercial timelines through cross-functional KPI development and team engagement.
  • Ensures adherence to Lindt Intercompany (IC) Guidelines and provides oversight for IC supply plans.
  • KPI Accountabilities: Customer Service Level, Excess / Aging FG Inventory, Forecast Participation, and Demand Planning Accuracy.


Do you have what it takes?

(Basic Qualifications)

  • 10+ years of combined experience in Manufacturing, Customer Services & Logistics, Forecasting, Information Technology, Statistical Modeling, and/or Financial Planning
  • Global experience in progressive roles with demonstrated results in supply network optimization
  • Strong interpersonal skills: Will work with many functions within Russell Stover to be successful, including sales, customer service, logistics, operations and procurement
  • Ability to work across departments and across levels within an organization
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and stressful situations effectively, adapt to changing priorities, and respond with urgency to requests while remaining focused on strategic imperatives
  • Advanced MS Office skills with Access / Excel and proficient in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
  • Strong Collaboration and Negotiating skills with both oral and written communication abilities

 

Do you stand above the rest?

(Preferred Qualifications)

  • Master’s degree in Logistics, Marketing, Statistics, Business, Operations Management, Finance, Information Technology, or related field
  • CPG (fast-moving consumer goods) experience in supply chain, forecasting, and/or logistics
  • APICS or similar professional certification
  • Demonstrated proficiency with supply / demand planning ERP systems concepts and systems Problem-solving, analytical skills and ability to use decision-making processes and judgment
  • Strong Systems Acumen with Ability to Adapt and Apply
