  • Operates equipment, tools, and machinery in a safe and proficient manner.
  • Daily activities include but not limited to receiving, batch set-ups, weighing, bagging, inventory control and inspection.
  • Must be able to read and understand process specifications, formulas, scales, weights and volumes.
  • Must pay attention to detail, work in a team environment and adaptable to schedule changes.
  • Verify that process specifications from raw material to packaged goods are maintained at acceptable levels.
  • Maintain high level awareness of area sanitation.
  • Works with employees and managers from all areas of the plant to ensure compliance with RSC guidelines, rules, and procedures.
  • Performs clean-up activities as assigned.
  • Conforms to rules.
May be assigned to other duties by supervisor within the department to complete the tasks

Basic Qualifications

  • A background in food technology, food science, confectionery, microbiology, or chemistry.
  • One (1) year of quality, sanitation or production experience in the food industry needed.
  • Basic computer skills with precision in data entry while receiving raw materials.
  • Detail oriented the ability to balance multiple priorities
  • Effective communication with other departments in any issues related with food safety.
  • Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledgeable about HACCP principles and to be able to train employees on Good Manufacturing Practices.
  • Ensure laboratory methods, manuals and laboratory SOP's are current and complete.
  • Prior experience in receiving and sampling micro sensitive raw materials.
  • Ability to conduct basic laboratory tests on titratable acidity.
  • Working cross functionally within department to achieve results.
  • Assist the supervisor while working as a team on different projects.
