Founded in 1923, Russell Stover Candies is the largest producer of fine boxed chocolates in the United States.  It began in Denver, Colorado as a candy business in the home of Russell and Clara Stover.  The original candy, marketed as “Mrs. Stover’s Bungalow Candies”, changed 20 years later to Russell Stover Candies.  The three principles of quality, service and value allow Russell Stover to remain “Only the Finest”.

Russell Stover Candles has sales in all 50 states and Canada. We operate 35 company-owned retail shops throughout the United States and at over 70,000 drug stores, card and gift shops, grocery stores, department stores and retails stores. In September 2014, Russell Stover Candies was acquired by Lindt and Sprüngli, a Swiss based international conglomerate sold in more than 80 countries with production sites in Europe and the US, distributing on four continents.


Job Description

• Responsible for all aspects of the manufacture of production within the facility
• Leads and directs groups of employees in the production process from raw materials to finished goods. 
• Trains, counsels and develops employees, to perform numerous duties in the manufacturing process.
• Directs activities of a segment of the workforce within the operation.
• Responsible for achievement of production goals, levels of efficiency and compliance with rules and regulations.
• Reviews schedules, reports, plans and objectives.
• Gives instruction to subordinates, communicates results from goals and objectives.
• Develops and maintains a positive, respectful work environment.
• Performs administrative duties as required.
• Ensures assigned work area is achieving production goals.
• Provides clear instructions to direct reports and communicates performance goals/objectives.
• Ensures work is being completed in a manner that meets or exceeds quality, sanitation and safety standards.
• May perform additional duties as assigned.
• Reports to Superintendent, Assistant Plant Manager or Plant Manager.

Basic Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED
• 1-2 years supervisory experience
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment
• Familiar with specifications, government guidelines, staffing requirements and standard supervisory practices.
• Experience in Lean Manufacturing.

Preferred Qualifications

• College Degree
• 3-5 years supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment
