The Sanitation Manager will champion and enforce policies and procedures surrounding food safety, plant hygiene and product quality. This position manages the sanitation team of approximately 25 people and pest management operations. This role is on 3rd shift. The work hours are Monday - Friday 10 pm - 6:30 am.
 

Key responsibilities:

• ensuring effectiveness of a holistic plant sanitation program to assure the facility and equipment meet or exceed corporate, regulatory, and AIB standards
• ensuring completion of all required documents including daily cleaning records, ATP monitoring, Allergen Verifications, MSS, facility pre-op inspection, & work order follow-up documentation
• implementing good inspection techniques to help monitor GMP compliance and maintain company and FDA requirements
• participating in 3rd party and regulatory audits
•  addressing and communicating issues or potential issues to management in a timely manner
• hiring, training and organizing the sanitation crew to enable them to achieve the required cleaning, along with safety & food safety
• supporting pest management functions including the management of outside pest management services
• support Quality Department with Environmental Monitoring program

Key metrics include:

• sanitation cycle-time reductions
• extended cleaning request validations
• sanitation chemical cost reductions
• sanitation assurance/effectiveness programs, implementation of Corporate Sanitation Policies and Procedures, application of sanitary design standards, and delivering effective site sanitation training programs to drive the Corporate Sanitation initiatives
