Set up and operate a variety of machine tools to produce precision parts and instruments. Includes precision instrument makers who fabricate, modify, or repair mechanical instruments. May also fabricate and modify parts to make or repair machine tools or maintain industrial machines, applying knowledge of mechanics, shop mathematics, metal properties, layout, and machining procedures.

Basic Qualifications
Must be 18 years of age or older
Must be willing and able to work overtime
Must have worked in a manufacturing environment
Must have the ability to read rulers, tapes, scales, thermometers, and calibration tools
Must have performed preventative maintenance services using checklists, inspecting, analyzing, and diagnosing machine and assembly components
Must have performed machine adjustments, repaired or rebuilt assembly components
Must know how to maintain the proper storage/disposal of lubricants, solvents, paint and other chemicals in accordance with OSHA, EPA and other regulatory agencies
