Purpose and Nature of Position: Maintain all HVAC & plumbing related equipment. Maintain the ammonia refrigeration systems within the guidelines of the PSM program.

 

Duties and Responsibilities: Listed in order, ranking the most essential duties first. Essential functions are primary job duties that are intrinsic to the position.

• To maintain the heating and air conditioning systems & service requirements.
• Performs multi-maintenance activities in and around the plant, including but not limited to repair, installation, and preventive maintenance. Perform any job assigned in support of production within the confines of RSC property.
• Operates and maintains equipment, machinery, hand tools, and HVAC tools in a safe and proficient manner according to guidelines, standards and instructions.
• Must be able to work within prescribed tolerances, be familiar with preparation of surfaces, chemical properties and other acceptable standards and have strong trouble-shooting abilities.
• Requests, receives, delivers secures and maintains product equipment and materials as required for the job.
• Must be able to read and understand blueprints, schematics, rules, scales, tapes, thermometers and other equipment.
• Respond in a timely manner to calls for maintenance.
• Perform clean-up activities as required.
• Conform to rules.
• May be assigned other duties by plant management as required.

Preferred Qualifications
         High school diploma or GED required, trade certification preferred.

• Three years’ experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Ammonia experience is highly preferred.
• Ammonia Operator I certification is highly preferred.
• Ammonia Operator II certification is preferred.
• Process Safety Management (PSM) experience preferred
