Position Summary:

The Human Resources Assistant is responsible for maintaining the human resource database and all employee records and files. Completes assigned reporting functions involving attendance tracking, terminations, hire and transfer data and other information as assigned. Provides recommendations regarding the development and administration of human resource policies and programs. Assists in informing new employees of human resource policies and programs as needed. Performs general office support functions as needed.

  • Ensure human resource system records are accurately recorded and cross-checked.
  • Enter new hire information in the HRIS database.
  • Maintain all employee files in accordance with legal requirements and company policies and procedures. (Confidentiality of all records is required.)
  • Track employee attendance.
  • Complete monthly/annual reporting as required.
  • Process employment verification forms.
  • Verify FMLA eligibility and generate appropriate paperwork when necessary.
  • Ensure that payroll functions are performed in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Assist with questions and problems courteously and promptly.
  • Assist in training new employees and support department personnel as needed.
  • Attend and participate in meetings as required.
  • Perform miscellaneous clerical/receptionist functions and special projects as assigned.

Basic Qualifications
  • High school graduate or equivalent. Additional related training preferred.

  • At least 1 year related human resources experience.

  • Able to exhibit a high level of confidentiality.

  • Knowledge of ADP Enterprise HR and e-Time systems (or similar applications).

  • Understanding of human resource reporting and recordkeeping requirements.

  • Well organized.

  • Accurate and attentive to detail.

  • Excellent communication and public relations abilities.

  • Ability to assist and support others.

  • Able to operate telephone, PC, copier, and other basic business machines.

     



Preferred Qualifications
     
  •      Proficient Knowledge of ADP Enterprise HR and E-Time
  •     3 Years Human resources experience
