A day in the life…

Russell Stover Chocolates is seeking a motivated, engaged team player to join our staff.  The Project Manager (PM) will plan, direct, and coordinate activities concerned with the development and launch of new products into our portfolio.  The PM will participate in the conceptual development of the new product projects for confection, packaging, displays and design.  The PM will oversee project scheduling, budgeting and implementation while ensuring project objectives are met.  A PM has demonstrated success in development and launch of multiple simultaneous projects on time, on budget and to quality standards and the excellent communication skills between all stakeholders: from executives to cross-functional partners and colleagues. This position will report to the Project Management Office (PMO) Senior Manager.

What you will be doing…

• Plan, direct, and coordinate activities on new product development projects assigned
• Lead development and management of the project timeline and risk assessment
• Assist in day–to–day activities of various projects
• Monitor project goals, milestones, budget & deliverables
• Produce reports and project health analysis to appropriate stakeholders (including the PMO Leader)
• Provide continuous guidance and mentoring to project team members on New Product Development procedures, processes & practices
• Audit Stage Gate documentation to identify gaps in information needed for each defined approval stage.
• Perform all other duties & special projects as assigned

Do you have what it takes? 

(Basic Qualifications)

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field of study (Project Management, Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering etc)
• 3+ years of working in a corporate environment
• 1+ project or product management experience

Do you stand above the rest? 

(Preferred Qualifications)

• PMP certification
• Minimum 3 years experience managing new product development projects in a manufacturing environment, food industry
• Excellent verbal and written communication to drive clarity and alignment
• Excellent computer skills:  Microsoft Office suite, MS Project, Smartsheet
• Must have the ability to work autonomously and be equally passionate about working with a cross functional team
• Outstanding attention to detail and the ability to work in an organized manner
• Ability to effectively manage time and prioritize tasks to meet tight timelines across multiple projects in a fast paced environment
• Able to work with senior executives, department heads and managers, as well as mentor co-workers
• Able to travel up to 15%
