A day in the life…

We are seeking a motivated, engaged Project Manager to join our team. As the Project Manager, you will plan, direct and coordinate activities concerned with the development and launch of new products into our portfolio. You will participate in the conceptual development of the new product projects for confection, packaging, displays and design. You will also oversee project scheduling, budgeting, and implementation while ensuring project objectives are met. You will report to the PMO Sr. Manager.

What you will be doing…

  • Plan, direct, and coordinate activities on new product development projects assigned
  • Lead development and management of the project timeline and risk assessment.  This can include capital investment and equipment installation planning
  • Assist in day–to–day activities of various projects
  • Monitor project goals, milestones, budget & deliverables
  • Produce reports and project health analysis to appropriate stakeholders (including the PMO Leader)
  • Provide continuous guidance and mentoring to project team members on New Product Development procedures, processes & practices
  • Audit Stage Gate documentation to identify gaps in information needed for each defined approval stage.
  • Perform all other duties & special projects as assigned

Do you have what it takes? 

(Basic Qualifications)

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field of study (Project Management, Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering etc)
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience managing new product development projects in a manufacturing environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication to drive clarity and alignment
  • Excellent computer skills: Microsoft Office suite, MS Project, Smartsheet a plus
  • Must have the ability to work autonomously and be equally passionate about working with a cross-functional team
  • Outstanding attention to detail and the ability to work in an organized manner
  • Ability to effectively manage time and prioritize tasks to meet tight timelines across multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Able to work with senior executives, department heads and managers, as well as mentor co-workers

  • PMP certification
  • Food industry experience
