A day in the life…

As the Material Handler (SAP), you will be responsible for monitoring the issuing, reversing, and returning of material from process orders. Properly accounting for all transactions occurring. You are responsible for effectively ensuring all users are properly issuing to each process order in the production area, including chocolate. You will perform pre-shift, during shift, and end of shift audits of locations and transactions. Additionally, as the Material Handler (SAP) you will be a back-up cycle counter as requested by either Finance, Scheduling, or the Inventory Team. You will also be responsible for wrapping/packaging material, verifying quantities, and moving the material to the appropriate area for storage by warehouse personnel.


A typical schedule in this position is M-Thus 5:30 am-4:00 pm.

 

What you will be doing…

This job posting is not all inclusive and other duties may be assigned.

  • Monitoring the use of materials from location to location.
  • Contributing to the orderliness of materials storage area.
  • Maintaining inventory by daily audits and reporting shortages.
  • Packaging and verifying materials for return to warehouse after the completion of the order.
  • Operating pallet jacks, and other hand tools to move items.
  • Learning and adhering to workplace safety regulations.
  • Adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) guidelines to ensure product quality and uphold food safety standards.
  • Learning to Identify and address potential food safety hazards, process deviations, or non-conformities, while maintaining proactive communication with supervisors.
  • Documenting food safety and quality procedures, maintaining detailed records of monitoring, verification, and corrective actions.

 

Do you have what it takes?

(Basic Qualifications)

 

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Ability to routinely and frequently stand, stoop, bend, climb and lift to meet cleaning requirements.
  • Ability to routinely lift 50lbs.
  • Must have good hand-eye coordination and possess motor skills enabling mobility and quick reflexes.
  • Must have visual/hearing ability sufficient to recognize or detect warning devices/signs.
