We are currently seeking a Plant Scheduler for our Iola Plant.

Job Description

• Update completed production list.
• Review incoming orders with corporate planning for plant compatibility.
• Update planned, released, and active PMG orders.
• Plan production schedules for the Kitchen and Forming.
• Review 2nd shift candy count and check 1st shift for upcoming day.
• Update 2nd Shift Kitchen and Forming schedules
• Tally SFC and PMG shortages; adjust.
• Sell or buy back requests from freezer.
• Enter orders and minutes as needed.
• Perform work order conversions.
• Plan 3 week tentative, SFC work orders.
• Verify and enter internal repack in computer system.
• Count Repack, adjust in computer system, check allocation.
• Email and enter repack requests/transfers.
• Count candy bank.
• Cycle count pieces.
• Cycle count slab inventory/batches.
• Schedule repacks for other plants.
• Send Efficiency/Compliance comments to corporate office.
• Email weekly Purchasing/Planning/Production meeting notes to corporate office.
• May be assigned other jobs by plant management as requested

This position may require working extended hours.

Basic Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED

• Computer skills

• Experience working in a manufacturing environment

• Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, government regulations, and procedure manuals

• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence

  Preferred Qualifications

• College degree

• Excel skills

• 3+ years of supervisory experience within the food industry

• A team player with good organizational & analytical skills

• Must be results-driven with good interpersonal skills

• Demonstrated strong leadership, organizational and mechanical skills are essential
