The Corporate Communications internship will provide a real world job opportunity for a student interested in putting a twist on the traditional ways companies communicate programs, policies and practices to employees. This role will be directly involved in the development of internal communication plans, materials and strategies designed to support Company and Human Resources Department objectives by effectively informing and engaging employees. Key responsibilities include:
- contribute original content and ideas for general informational messages and program launches
- work with Marketing and Human Resources leaders to align employment and corporate branding efforts
- assist in developing, drafting and launching employee related programs, policies, practices and communication initiatives
- develop, maintain and update the look, feel and content on the corporate intranet and recruitment sites
Basic Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a degree program in English, Business, Communications, Journalism, Public Relations or Marketing
- Sophomore year or later
- Excellent communicator with advanced writing skills
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle simultaneous tasks
- Attention to details and deadlines
- Skilled in learning communication goals with the ability to develop compelling messages.
- Ability to handle sensitive business information with discretion and confidentiality.
- Creative edge - someone who is excited to work on a progressive project and motivated to make a difference.
Additional Details
- Schedule is flexible. Manager will work with the selected candidate to determine expectations on the number of hours per week.
- This opportunity is open to students currently in the Kansas City metro area or who will be in the Kansas City metro area this summer.
- Would need transportation to Russell Stover Chocolates Corporate Office.
