Description
  1. An important link in the manufacturing process the Project Manager will contribute to business goals by managing short and long term process improvements to increase performance over time. The Project Manager is also responsible for developing and improving production practices, process, and incorporating cost savings projects.

 

Duties and Responsibilities: Listed in order, ranking the most essential duties first. Essential functions are primary job duties that are intrinsic to the position.

  • Work with Director, Production and site management team to determine objectives and strategy for the production department; translate agreed strategies into production team and individual goals, activities and deliverables.
  • Coordinate the implementation of “Best Practices.”
  • Manage KPI improvements through RCA, and subsequent implementation of process improvement program across all sites.
  • Proactively review deviations and define steps to prevent errors from recurring and or improve performance.
  • Implement and manage project changes and interventions to achieve project outputs.
  • Identify COGS savings opportunities and manage the journey from planning to implementation.
  • Partner with safety and quality to improve daily site performance.
  • Facilitate the definition of project scope, goals and deliverables.
  • Continue to support Corsicana as a leadership resource.
  • Support other sites as a leadership resource as needed.
  • May include other projects or tasks as assigned.
  • May be assigned other jobs by plant management as required.

  • PLC Programming and trouble shooting and integration for automation
  • Ability to learn new equipment/technology quickly
  • Strong knowledge of utilities

 

Education and Work Experience:

  • Over five years of experience in a food manufacturing environment. Strong preference for chocolate specific experience and technical knowledge. AA or BA Degree in Business Management; or equivalent combination of education or experience.
