As the Shipping Supervisor, you will oversee the Shipping Department. You will oversee employee’s filling customer orders ensuring orders are complete, properly labeled, tagged or marked as required. You will perform all duties relative to normal Shipping activities.
What you will be doing….
- Achieving shipping goals, levels of efficiency and compliance with rules and regulations.
- Reviewing schedules, reports, plans and objectives.
- Training, counseling, and developing employees, to perform numerous duties in the manufacturing process.
- Giving instruction to employees and communicates results from goals and objectives.
- Developing and maintaining a positive, respectful work environment.
- Performing administrative duties as required.
- Taking steps to avoid quality control issues.
- Ensuring Warehouse capacity is kept at optimal levels.
- Managing activities throughout the order fulfillment and transportation cycle to make sure established deadlines are accomplished.
- Overseeing inventory of goods.
- Maintaining inventory accuracy.
- Streamlining shipping and transportation processes.
- Ensuring work is being completed in a manner that meets or exceeds quality, sanitation and safety standards.
- Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) to ensure product quality and maintain compliance with food safety standards.
- Complete and follow FSQA training and programs to comply with regulatory requirements, ensure consumer safety, and support the plant’s quality objectives.
- Promptly report and take appropriate action on any observed or potential food safety hazards, process deviations, or non-conformities by notifying the designated plant supervisor, in accordance with your role and responsibilities.
- Actively contributes to the continuous improvement of the company’s Food Safety Culture through engagement and actions aligned with your role.

Do you have what it takes…
(Basic Qualification)
- HS Diploma or GED.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to speak, read, and write English fluently, with or without an accommodation.
- 2 years of related experience in a manufacturing setting.
- Superior interpersonal skills and time management.
- Communicate effectively both written and verbally.
- Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong Counseling and Conflict Resolution background a plus.
- Ability to prioritize, well organized.
- Accurate and attentive to detail.
- SAP knowledge a plus.
- Must be able to be certified on Forklift and Ottawa.

- College Degree.
- 2-3 years supervisory experience in a large warehouse facility or manufacturing environment.
- A team player with good organizational & analytical skills.
- Must be results-driven with good interpersonal skills.
- Strong leadership, organizational and mechanical skills.
